Central University of Punjab

The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) was established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). It aims to create a n educated and knowledgable workforce responsive to regional, national and global needs in tune with the requirements of academia, industry and business. 

Mission of Central University of Punjab

The university has a mission of providing wide range of instructional and research facilities across integrated and cross-disciplines, promote innovation in teaching, learning and research, and cross-pollinate new ideas, new technologies and new world-views. 

Academic Programs in Central University of Punjab

CUPB offers only Masters, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes. Having started with 10 students in 4 programmes in August 2009 it now has 1100 students in different academic programmes. It is a validation of university’s growing credibility among the students that in year 2017-18, a total of 30,101 applications received for 726 seats for admission to Master Programmes through CUCET, making a demand ratio of 1:41.
