Northern Indian Institute of Fashion Technology or NIIFT is based in Mohali, Ludhiana and Jalandhar and offers an array of different courses in the fashion industry. Established in 1995 by the department of Industries & Commerce, Govt. Of Punjab, the focus of this institute is to train and mentor professionals in the arena of Textile and Garment Industry. They had signed an MOU with National institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi for curriculum scheduling and upgrading faculty. The campus is equipped with the latest facilities to ensure that students are given the best of equipment and technology to thrive in the industry. NIIFT Eligibility Criteria
For the undergraduate programs, all students must have passed their 2 level examinations as per the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination. They can also be from General Certificate Education (GCE) Exam (London /Cambridge/ Sri Lanka at the Advanced (A) level; or
any Public School/ Board/ University Exam in India.
For international students, courses equivalent to 10+2 system; or A pass grade in Senior Secondary School Exam conducted by National Open School with minimum of five subjects is mandatory.
For all the postgraduate programs in the fashion industry, graduation from relevant fields of art including fashion or creative design is compulsory. However, students of the Garment Manufacturing Technology /Fashion Marketing & Management should have a B.Sc/B.Tech/BE or BA / B.Com / BBA /BCA with any one of the following subjects: Economics /Statistics /Management/ Marketing/ Mathematics/ Textiles / Fashion / Accounts/ Computers/ Home Science/ any other related Diploma.

NIIFT Application Fee
For general category candidates, a payment of Rs.1750/- either direct online payment through Credit Card/Debit card/ Net Banking to AIMA or in form of Demand Draft of Rs.1750/- in favor of NIIFT Mohali should be done. For SC/ST/PHP category payment of Rs.1150/- either direct online payment through Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net banking to AIMA or in form of Demand Draft of Rs.1150/- should be done.Note
- Candidates applying for multiple programs have to fill up different forms during application. Make sure that you fill in the desired test center city.
NIIFT Admit Cards
On receiving the required application forms, the registration process will be completed. Once done, candidates will receive their admit cards. This should be carried to the examination center. You have to download the card and affix photograph (similar to that affixed on the Application Form) on the downloaded Admit Card and get it attested by a Gazzetted Officer/school Or College Principal for producing at Exam.
